Alternative Investment Funds( AIF) are another vehicle of investments where money is invested as a fund and in more sophisticated instruments and strategies. These suit the requirements of a niche set of clients. AIF’s are also separately registered with SEBI. The minimum ticket size of investments in such funds is Rs 1 crore at present.
